Sustainability Story

Royal Consumer Products is leading the charge in sustainability within the paper industry. By aligning forces with Stand For Trees, Royal Consumer Products has fortified its journey toward carbon neutrality, effectively offsetting the carbon footprint of its certificate and certificate-cover products.

How did this come to be? Stand For Trees measured the carbon footprint of five Royal Consumer Products lines for 2023 — starting with the bamboo used to produce the paper and including the trucking, ocean freight, and local consumer shipping involved in getting product to shelves. Meta Carbon processed that activity data and matched the resulting tonnes against high-quality REDD+ credits.

This endeavor has yielded profound environmental benefits. Royal Consumer Products’ impact means preserving over 300 ancient trees from imminent destruction. Additionally, their involvement contributes to securing education, healthcare, and jobs for communities in the Southern Cardamom region of Cambodia.
